Sloan's Route
59.07 miles
Sloan’s Route is the big one. Our longest and toughest ride at just over 59 miles, named for the man this whole day honors. It’s open Texas country from start to finish, built for the riders chasing real distance. Finish this one and you’ve ridden every mile in Sloan’s memory, and you’ll get cheered in like it.
DIRECTIONS
Start at Breckenridge City Park on Old Caddo Ave. and turn left onto Walker Street (Hwy 180 West). Ride through downtown and turn left onto Sunset Blvd. (you will see Sonic on your right). At Elliott Street, turn right.
At the stop sign, turn left onto FM 224 (Post Oak Road) and ride south for 1.5 miles. At FM 2231, turn right and ride west for 1.5 miles. At FM 3418, turn left and ride south for 4.25 miles. At FM 576, turn right and ride west for 20 miles. At Hwy 6, turn left and ride .25 miles. At FM 2408, turn left and ride east for 6.5 miles. At FM 1853, turn left and ride north for 6.6 miles. At FM 576, turn right and ride east for 10 miles.
At Hwy 183, turn left and ride north for 5.5 miles back towards Breckenridge. At Elliott, turn right and ride .4 miles to Old Caddo Ave. Turn left onto Old Caddo Ave. to finish line.
